REMEMBERING BERYL COCKS
LEEBAY GIANT SCHNAUZERS

24/6/1940 – 2/5/2025

Beryl was passionate about the breed, and also breed type. She owned Giants from the mid 80’s and imported dogs from Finland and Lithuania between 1994-2001, gaining a champion title with Ch Stablemaster’s Seventh Heaven of Leebay (Imp FIN). She bred her first litter of Leebay Giant Schnauzers in 2001 and continued her breeding lines for an additional 10 years, exhibiting a number of Leebay Giants along the way. Beryl was sporting and always kind to other exhibitors. She also bred black & silver, and white Miniature Schnauzers.

Kirk Moss (Riesenheim) – I first met Beryl and husband Dennis in the early nineties, she owned her beloved Poppy Ch. Nenevale Yvonne and Nenevale United. She then had from myself Riesenheim Pass The Buck To Nenevale. She and Dennis retired from London and relocated to north Devon where she then expanded the amount of giants she owned. She saw and became very interested in Stablemaster’s giants, the world’s top kennel at the time. Beryl imported Stablemaster’s Blonde, Stablemaster’s Seventh Heaven, Top Style Mustang and Monte Negro Sabos Karaliene, all of excellent breed type. She then imported a black & silver mini, then whites from Taitus Ushabti kennels. Beryl loved her dogs and they always took priority in her life. She was the kindest sweetest person you could wish to meet, and was obviously very well bred herself. She was very passionate about trying to produce ‘proper giants’, as she described them. She will be missed. RIP Beryl. A quality lady.

Beryl’s funeral will be held on Friday 20th June, accompanied by caskets of her beloved Giant Schnauzers.

North Devon Crematorium, Barnstaple EX31 3NW at 10.45am followed by meeting up at 12noon at The Park Hotel, EX32 9AE
