{"id":2649,"date":"2024-02-20T12:33:19","date_gmt":"2024-02-20T12:33:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.giantschnauzerhealth.org.uk\/fund\/?p=2649"},"modified":"2024-03-02T22:08:58","modified_gmt":"2024-03-02T22:08:58","slug":"epilepsy-research","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.giantschnauzerhealth.org.uk\/fund\/epilepsy-research\/","title":{"rendered":"Epilepsy Research"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Can you help with research into canine idiopathic epilepsy?<\/h1>\n<p>The Giant Schnauzer Health Fund has donated \u00a32,000 along with the 3 breed clubs collectively donating a further \u00a33,000 to the Canine Genetics Centre (CGC) at the University of Cambridge, in support of their epilepsy research project.<\/p>\n<p>Their epilepsy research has now been extended to include Giant Schnauzers, more information about the research can be found on the following link: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canine-genetics.org.uk\/tag\/giant-schnauzer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>CGC epilepsy research<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>You can help in the following ways:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>1. If you have a Giant diagnosed with Idiopathic Epilepsy contact the CGC to take part in the research: <a href=\"mailto:cgc-epilepsy@vet.cam.ac.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cgc-epilepsy@vet.cam.ac.uk<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>2. If you have an unaffected Giant Schnauzer over the age of 8 years contact the CGC to take part in the research: <a href=\"mailto:cgc-epilepsy@vet.cam.ac.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cgc-epilepsy@vet.cam.ac.uk<\/a><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>3.
